Developing Strong Parents for Stronger Families
Be Strong’s parenting program, Raising the B.A.R. (Budding Adult-Child Relationship), teaches caregivers evidence-based strategies that support children's healthy development. Curriculum is universally relevant and available to all primary caregivers with children from birth to eighteen years old who reside in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Workshops will be offered in multiple languages and convenient locations throughout the counties. Through these stand-alone workshops, families with additional needs for services are immediately linked to more intensive parenting supports.
Partnership with The Children's Trust
Sponsored by The Children's Trust, we offer FREE parenting workshops on relevant topics about raising children who are successful, healthy, and happy. At each 90-minute workshop, caregivers may receive free childcare for children 3-12 years old, a snack, and entry into a raffle drawing with the completion of a short post-workshop survey. All sessions are being conducted via video conferencing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Workshops are available in English, Spanish, and Creole, during flexible hours, including afternoon, evening and weekends.
