Miami, FL – Be Strong’s After School Club (BSASC) hosted their end-of-year field trip on May 28th at Paradise Ranch in Miami, Florida. Their students finally met one another for the first time outside of a virtual environment since the pandemic began. During this event, students were able to participate in a cooking activity, receive program awards and enjoy time with friends and family.
“This was one of my most memorable moments this year because we got to see and honor our students in-person and before their loved ones,” said Jasmin Lang, BSASC’s site supervisor. “Since our program has been virtual all year, I really enjoyed witnessing live student smiles, laughs, and tears, especially during the award acknowledgments where all students were highlighted and appreciated for the ways they contribute to our Be Strong After School Club.”
Be Strong’s After School Club is an enrichment program that guides middle school youth’s social, emotional, and academic development, empowering them to be socially, physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy.
